Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the integrity of the company's server infrastructure and network systems during the night shift.
- Execute critical system patches, updates, and backups to ensure 99.9% uptime during business hours.
- Monitor system alerts and respond immediately to hardware failures or software anomalies.
- Provide tier-2 technical support to internal staff via remote access tools and ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to resolve complex issues identified during monitoring cycles.
- Ensure strict compliance with IT security protocols and data privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, networking, or IT support.
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in a quiet, low-distraction environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or VCP are highly preferred.
