Responsibilities
- System Development & Maintenance: Design, code, and deploy high-quality software solutions for our backend systems, focusing on stability and performance during off-peak hours.
- Critical Issue Resolution: Monitor system logs and alerts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the night shift with minimal downtime.
- Automated Testing: Implement and maintain automated testing scripts to ensure code quality and regression prevention before deployments.
- Infrastructure Support: Collaborate with the DevOps team to optimize cloud resources (AWS/Azure) and manage containerization efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, runbooks, and incident reports to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze system performance metrics to optimize application speed and resource utilization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years specifically in a Night Shift or 24/7 operations environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go. Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Infrastructure: Solid understanding of Linux administration, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), and cloud platforms.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to document complex technical processes clearly.
- Availability: Must be available to work a consistent night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
