Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care in our ICU/Step-Down units during overnight shifts
- Administer medications and treatments with precision using EMR documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless patient handoffs
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital protocols
- Mentor new staff during low-acuity periods
- Conduct hourly patient rounds and safety checks
Qualifications
- Active Nevada RN license (compact state eligible)
- Minimum 2 years ICU/Step-Down experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity levels
- Spanish bilingualism a significant plus
