Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ICU/ER units during overnight hours (7 PM - 7 AM)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Monitor vital signs and respond rapidly to emergent situations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless patient transitions
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
- Provide patient/family education during overnight care windows
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ER/ICU preferred)
- BLS/ACLS certifications required
- Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment
- Strong communication skills during high-pressure situations
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient acuity levels
- Electronic health record proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
