Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs overnight, documenting all changes in electronic health records
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Respond to patient emergencies with calm professionalism and rapid intervention
- Coordinate with day-shift teams during handover protocols
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
- Provide emotional support to patients and families during overnight hours
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers during night operations
Qualifications
- Current RN or LPN license in Ohio (required)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting
- BLS certification with ACLS preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and medication administration
- Exceptional communication skills for overnight team coordination
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Flexibility to cover weekends and holidays as needed
