Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and server health using industry-standard monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, or Datadog).
- Respond to and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 helpdesk tickets escalated from the support team.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades during low-traffic windows to minimize downtime.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the Service Now ticketing system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during handovers to ensure continuity of operations.
- Escalate critical incidents to senior engineering staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or IT Support role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and basic routing protocols.
- Familiarity with major networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista).
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure during high-urgency incidents.
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts (12-hour shifts) including weekends and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
