Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance and server health 24/7 using advanced monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds).
- Execute routine maintenance windows and patch management protocols to ensure system integrity.
- Respond to and resolve critical incidents and alerts immediately with minimal downtime.
- Document all network configurations, changes, and incident reports in our knowledge base.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift team to hand off critical issues and ensure seamless transitions.
- Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments during low-traffic periods.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network administration or system operations.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls.
- Availability to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Experience with Linux/Unix command line and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
