Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and analyze patient specimens during night shifts
- Operate advanced laboratory equipment with precision and accuracy
- Document and maintain electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and emergency department staff
- Ensure quality control protocols are strictly followed during overnight hours
- Train and mentor new night shift team members
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field required
- Current ASCP or AMT certification mandatory
- Minimum 2 years clinical lab experience (night shift preferred)
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems and laboratory automation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid Massachusetts state license
