Responsibilities
- Perform complex laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology departments
- Operate and calibrate advanced laboratory equipment with precision
- Execute quality control protocols ensuring 99.9% test result accuracy
- Document and report critical patient results within strict timeframes
- Collaborate with night shift physicians and nursing staff for urgent cases
- Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and OSHA regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for laboratory workflows
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field
- Valid ASCP or AMT certification (or eligible)
- Minimum 2 years clinical laboratory experience
- Proven expertise in handling STAT specimens and critical results
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
- Current CPR certification
