Responsibilities
- Perform complex diagnostic tests on blood, tissue, and bodily fluids during overnight shifts
- Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment including analyzers and microscopes
- Ensure strict adherence to CLIA, OSHA, and hospital safety protocols
- Accurately document and report test results using LIS systems
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and day-shift staff for urgent cases
- Participate in quality control initiatives and continuous improvement programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field (ASCP or AMT certification preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
- Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Strong knowledge of hematology, chemistry, and microbiology procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Valid Massachusetts Laboratory License
