Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic health record system
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
- Prepare exam rooms and medical equipment for overnight procedures
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide education on treatment plans
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
