Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and vital sign monitoring during night shifts
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with emergency procedures and critical care interventions
- Coordinate with overnight medical team for seamless patient care
- Maintain sterile examination environments and inventory control
- Provide patient education and emotional support during overnight hours
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital/urgent care setting
- Night shift healthcare experience strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- New York State medical assistant license
