Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures during night shift hours
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Triage patient calls and respond to after-hours emergencies
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment for overnight procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless patient handoffs
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with Epic EHR systems preferred
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Flexible schedule availability including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication skills in high-pressure situations
