Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments per physician protocols
- Monitor vital signs, document patient histories, and maintain electronic health records
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and manage inventory for night operations
- Triage urgent patient calls and coordinate with on-call physicians
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Diploma or Associate's Degree from accredited program
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare setting
- Current Florida Medical Assistant certification and CPR/BLS certification
- Strong proficiency in EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours with minimal supervision
