Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and security in real-time during the night shift.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and configuration updates on servers and network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents reported by internal users.
- Document all network changes, incidents, and maintenance activities in the IT Service Management (ITSM) system.
- Conduct nightly audits of system logs to identify potential vulnerabilities or outages.
- Collaborate with the Day Shift team to ensure seamless handover of critical infrastructure status.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering, IT support, or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Ability to work independently in a quiet, focused environment without direct supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to service excellence.
