Responsibilities
- Perform routine hardware inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance on servers, storage arrays, and networking equipment.
- Monitor system health and performance using monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and escalate critical alerts immediately.
- Execute scheduled backups and verify data integrity to ensure business continuity.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and decommissioning of server hardware and cabling infrastructure.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and facility security procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and incident reports.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) reliably.
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and cabling standards (Cat6, fiber).
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
