Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Conduct 24/7 surveillance and analysis of network traffic for suspicious activities or intrusion attempts.
- Investigate, triage, and remediate security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with the threat intelligence team to identify emerging cyber threats.
- Generate and maintain detailed incident reports and security documentation.
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments and security audits during off-peak hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (typically 10 PM - 6 AM).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure.
