Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Accurately document patient histories and vital signs in EMR systems
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians
- Perform basic lab tests and process specimens
- Schedule appointments and manage patient correspondence
- Maintain sterile examination environments and inventory of supplies
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Tennessee state license to practice as a Medical Assistant
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including occasional evenings
