Responsibilities
- Develop and test software modules for precision agriculture systems using Python and Java
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IoT sensor networks
- Analyze agricultural data sets using machine learning algorithms
- Participate in Agile sprint planning and daily stand-ups
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation
- Present project progress to stakeholders quarterly
- Contribute to open-source agricultural technology initiatives
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- J1 Visa sponsorship eligibility (non-US citizen with valid passport)
- Intermediate proficiency in Python or Java programming
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and version control (Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Availability for 12-month commitment starting January 2024
- Experience with SQL databases preferred
