As a cornerstone of our infrastructure team, you'll architect scalable AWS/GCP deployments while mentoring junior engineers. This role offers zero probation period and direct reporting to our VP of Engineering. Relocation assistance included for qualified candidates from North Carolina and nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS/GCP with 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins
- Mentor 3+ junior engineers through code reviews and architecture planning
- Optimize cloud costs through resource tagging and reserved instance strategies
- Implement DevSecOps practices including infrastructure-as-code security scanning
- Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Document architecture decisions and best practices in internal knowledge base
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Expert-level proficiency in at least one programming language (Python/Go/Java)
- Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
- Proven track record of leading production deployments with zero downtime
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong background in container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Ability to pass background check and start within 7 days of offer
