Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Greet and assist customers with a friendly, professional demeanor to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Transaction Management: Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of current promotions, product inventory, and store policies to answer customer inquiries.
- Store Operations: Assist in maintaining the visual appearance of the store, organizing merchandise, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and organized.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members to achieve daily sales goals and support store operations.
- Problem Solving: Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and escalate complex issues to store management when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer proficiency and comfort with using handheld scanners or POS terminals.
