Responsibilities
- Planting and Cultivating: Assist in the planting, growing, and maintaining of various crops, including avocados, citrus, and berries.
- Harvesting Operations: Perform manual harvesting duties, ensuring produce is picked at peak ripeness and handled with care to minimize waste.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural machinery under supervision.
- Field Maintenance: Perform essential tasks such as weeding, irrigation setup, and general field cleanup to ensure optimal growing conditions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a safe workplace.
- Quality Control: Inspect crops for quality and grade, sorting and packing produce for transport.
Qualifications
- H2A Visa Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible for H2A visa sponsorship or possess a valid US work visa.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods in outdoor conditions.
- Availability: Must be available for seasonal work, including early mornings and weekends as required by harvest schedules.
- Communication Skills: Basic English proficiency to understand safety instructions and work instructions.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work well in a team.
