Responsibilities
- Cultivate, plant, and harvest a variety of seasonal crops, including corn, wheat, and vegetables.
- Operate and maintain agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as weeding, pruning, and thinning plants to ensure optimal growth.
- Inspect crops for quality, pests, and diseases, reporting issues to supervisors immediately.
- Load harvested produce onto trucks and transport to packing facilities or storage units.
- Maintain field cleanliness by removing debris and monitoring equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines on the job site.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid H2A visa or be eligible for H2A visa sponsorship.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods (standing, walking, lifting).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
