Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops in greenhouse and field settings
- Operate farm machinery including tractors, irrigation systems, and harvesting equipment
- Monitor crop health, apply organic fertilizers, and implement pest control measures
- Package and prepare produce for distribution to DC markets and restaurants
- Maintain farm facilities, tools, and equipment in optimal condition
- Adhere to strict food safety and H2A program compliance standards
- Collaborate with farm team to optimize growing techniques and yields
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for H2A visa sponsorship (valid passport and clean background check)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of English for safety protocols and equipment operation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Valid driver's license preferred (not required for all positions)
- No prior experience necessary – training provided
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday
