Responsibilities
- Harvest Operations: Safely operate machinery and hand-tools to harvest crops including fruits and vegetables according to quality and quantity specifications.
- Crop Maintenance: Perform essential tasks such as planting, cultivating, irrigating, and weeding to ensure optimal crop growth.
- Equipment Care: Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on farm equipment and vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
- Quality Control: Sort, grade, and pack harvested products to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Weather Adaptability: Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, rain, and cold, maintaining focus and productivity.
Qualifications
- Legal Status: Must be eligible for H2A visa sponsorship or already possess a valid H2A visa.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual labor for extended periods (8-10 hours/day) in outdoor settings.
- Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or labor-intensive work is preferred but not always required.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality, attendance, and strong work ethic.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency to understand instructions and safety briefings.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is required for transportation to field sites.
