Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, neurointerfaces, and decentralized AI systems
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineers, designers, and ethicists to align on future product visions
- Analyze emerging tech trends (Web4.0, synthetic biology, ambient computing) for market viability
- Produce white papers and thought leadership on societal impacts of technological convergence
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify and evaluate next-gen startups
- Design scenario-planning frameworks for geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption
- Mentor junior futurists in foresight methodologies and critical analysis
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futurist Studies (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic tech planning at Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Published research in IEEE, ACM, or similar journals on emerging technologies
- Expertise in systems thinking, scenario planning, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful technology commercialization projects
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or generative AI
- Experience with regulatory frameworks (FDA, FCC, international tech policies)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
