Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology, quantum AI) and their commercial implications
- Develop 5-10 year strategic scenarios for Fortune 500 clients in the autonomous systems sector
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future forecasts into product roadmaps
- Author white papers on ethical AI governance and human-machine symbiosis
- Build predictive models using alternative data sources (satellite imagery, patent filings, dark web signals)
- Represent Horizon at Davos, TED, and Singularity University summits
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech analysis
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or Computational Social Science
- Published thought leadership in Nature Futures or MIT Technology Review
- Expertise in Delphi methodology, STEEP analysis, and AI-driven trend prediction
- Portfolio demonstrating scenario planning for Fortune 100 clients
- Proficiency in Python/R for data mining and trend visualization
- Deep understanding of existential risk frameworks and long-term AI safety
- Security clearance for classified government futurist projects (preferred)
