Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across biotechnology, quantum computing, and AI convergence domains
- Develop strategic frameworks for 2026+ product roadmaps and market entry strategies
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with C-suite executives and research partners
- Produce foresight reports and scenario-planning models for board-level presentations
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of academic, corporate, and startup innovation partners
- Advise on ethical implications of emerging technologies and regulatory landscapes
- Mentor junior strategists in futures thinking methodologies and trend synthesis
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating published trend analysis or scenario planning projects
- Expertise in emerging technologies (quantum, AI, synthetic biology, neurotech)
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into executable business strategies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech and venture capital ecosystems
- Certification in futures methodologies (e.g., CFCS, Horizon Scanning)
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive audience experience
