Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable tech
- Identify emerging trends and patent opportunities across global tech ecosystems
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry disruptors
- Present technology roadmaps and innovation metrics to C-suite and board members
- Mentor a team of 5-7 researchers and engineers in future-focused development
- Secure and manage $5M+ annual innovation budget for 2026 initiatives
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with proven impact in emerging tech fields
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Track record of launching at least 2 industry-disrupting products or services
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or sustainable technology systems
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and venture capital funding
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex future scenarios
- Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) or equivalent strategic innovation credential
- Published research in peer-reviewed technology journals or major industry forums
