Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AGI, biotech convergence) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional ideation workshops with engineers, designers, and C-suite executives
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to the board of directors
- Manage the $5M annual innovation fund allocation to high-potential 2026 projects
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology paradigms
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, neurotech, or climate tech
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and boards
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with tech specialization
- Published research or patents in emerging technology domains
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and tech forecasting frameworks
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $3M annually
