Responsibilities
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen systems
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive tech trends
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and investors
- Secure patents for breakthrough innovations
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation
- Partner with academic institutions for joint research initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ in emerging technologies
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Biotechnology
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier
- Proven track record of launching tech products with $10M+ revenue
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neural interfaces, or synthetic genomics
- Experience with venture capital funding cycles
- Strong public speaking and thought leadership credentials
- Clearable US security clearance preferred
