Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AGI
- Lead cross-functional teams of researchers, engineers, and product managers in moonshot projects
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis, patent research, and academic partnerships
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and investors with data-driven insights
- Establish KPIs for innovation initiatives and track progress against ambitious 2026 milestones
- Collaborate with venture capital partners to identify acquisition targets and investment opportunities
- Represent the company at global tech conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership roles
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products in emerging tech sectors
- Expertise in futures methodologies, scenario planning, and technology forecasting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem and academic institutions
- Deep understanding of ethical frameworks for emerging technologies (AI ethics, biosecurity)
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience managing $5M+ innovation budgets with measurable ROI
