Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI/ML, quantum, biotech) to develop strategic R&D roadmaps for 2026-2030
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating disruptive technologies with industry partners
- Translate technical innovation into scalable product strategies with measurable ROI
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and investors
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and startups to source bleeding-edge innovations
- Mentor technical teams in adopting future-focused methodologies and ethical tech frameworks
- Develop competitive intelligence reports and patent strategy for emerging tech domains
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech product development
- Deep expertise in at least two future tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of launching tech products with global impact ($10M+ revenue or 1M+ users)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to boards and C-suite stakeholders
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Fluency in agile methodologies, tech forecasting frameworks, and ethical AI governance
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem and venture capital community
