Responsibilities
- Research and analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) to identify opportunities for 2026 market leadership
- Develop comprehensive 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with business growth targets
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite stakeholders and influence technology investment decisions
- Establish KPIs and frameworks to measure innovation pipeline success and ROI
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Anticipate ethical implications and regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record developing and executing multi-year technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, blockchain, AR/VR, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex technical and market data
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation abilities
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $5M annually
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or innovation strategy
