Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, bio-AI) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify future-proof product opportunities
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and global tech labs
- Present future tech insights to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Mentor junior strategists in horizon scanning and scenario planning
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning, product management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in emerging technology adoption (AI, blockchain, AR/VR)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Expertise in futures methodologies (scenario planning, Delphi technique)
- Strong network with Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or major conferences
- Experience scaling tech teams from 10 to 100+ members
- Proficiency in data visualization and trend analysis tools
