Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hydraulic/electric elevator systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections per ASME codes
- Diagnose complex electrical/mechanical malfunctions using diagnostic tools
- Document service reports and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols while working in confined spaces
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system upgrades and retrofits
- Mentor junior technicians during on-site training scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (no degree required)
- Valid NYC Elevator Mechanic License (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 2 years technical/mechanical experience
- Strong electrical and hydraulic system knowledge
- Ability to read technical schematics and blueprints
- Physical stamina for working at heights and confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
