Responsibilities
- Lead development of ethical AI frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI
- Oversee research on bias mitigation, explainability, and value alignment in AI models
- Coordinate with engineering teams to implement ethical safeguards in production systems
- Present findings to global policymakers, industry leaders, and academic forums
- Manage $5M+ research budget and 12-person cross-functional team
- Establish partnerships with UN agencies, IEEE, and leading universities
- Author white papers and influence upcoming AI regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in AI Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 10+ years experience
- Published record in top-tier AI ethics journals (NeurIPS, ICLR, or equivalent)
- Proven experience leading large-scale research teams and multi-year projects
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and global AI governance frameworks
- Technical proficiency in ML model auditing and bias detection tools
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience advising Fortune 500 companies on AI ethics implementation
