This role combines deep technical expertise with philosophical rigor. You'll collaborate with quantum computing researchers, neuromorphic engineers, and generative AI specialists to preemptively identify ethical dilemmas before they emerge. Your work will directly influence how 500M+ users interact with AI systems that don't just process information, but understand context and nuance.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement proactive ethical governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI models for bias, fairness, and transparency
- Develop industry-leading 'AI Impact Assessments' for new product launches
- Partner with legal teams to navigate evolving AI legislation and compliance
- Create educational programs for internal teams on responsible AI development
- Represent Nexus at global AI ethics summits and policy discussions
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 5+ years in AI governance, compliance, or ethical technology roles
- Deep understanding of EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and emerging regulations
- Experience with bias detection tools and explainable AI methodologies
- Published work on AI ethics or demonstrated thought leadership
- Ability to translate complex ethical concepts into actionable engineering requirements
