Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting schedules to ensure optimal crop yield and quality.
- Compliance & HR: Manage labor force, including scheduling and ensuring strict compliance with H2A visa regulations and labor laws.
- Resource Management: Monitor inventory levels of seeds, fertilizers, and equipment, and procure supplies efficiently to minimize waste.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance standards for all produce grown on-site.
- Sustainability: Develop and execute strategies to improve soil health and reduce environmental impact.
- Team Coordination: Train, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of agricultural workers and interns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in agricultural management or farming operations.
- Visa Eligibility: Eligibility to work in the United States or ability to obtain H2A visa sponsorship.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating agricultural machinery and software (e.g., farm management systems).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
