Responsibilities
- Lead strategic roadmap development for 2026-era technologies including quantum AI integration and neuro-interfaces
- Drive cross-functional R&D initiatives spanning quantum computing, synthetic biology, and advanced materials science
- Partner with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) on future-tech policy frameworks and ethical guidelines
- Present visionary blueprints to C-suite executives and industry consortiums
- Mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers, physicists, and designers
- Identify and cultivate breakthrough IP opportunities with commercialization potential
- Represent Nexus at global tech summits (Web Summit, CES, TechCrunch Disrupt)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI Ethics, or Future Studies with 10+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on emerging technologies with 500+ citations
- Proven track record of leading $50M+ R&D initiatives with measurable breakthroughs
- Expertise in futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Deep understanding of quantum computing architecture and qubit stability challenges
- Experience with DARPA/NIH grant applications and government contracting
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio of 3+ commercialized technologies impacting 10M+ users
