Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology vision roadmap, identifying disruptive opportunities across quantum, AI, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to anticipate market shifts and emerging threats
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members on technology disruption vectors
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs for breakthrough collaborations
- Drive patent strategy for next-generation intellectual property portfolios
- Mentor a team of futurist researchers and technology scouts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or emerging tech R&D leadership
- Proven track record of launching market-defining innovations
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI ethics, neurotech, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism (PhD preferred)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Portfolio of successfully commercialized futuristic projects
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
