Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps targeting 2026 adoption horizons
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neural interfaces, AI ethics) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with $15M+ annual budget
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-tech capabilities into core offerings
- Author white papers on disruptive tech impacts and mitigation strategies
- Maintain competitive intelligence through global tech ecosystem scanning
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record in emerging technology commercialization
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or space tech
- Published thought leadership in tech journals or industry forums
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional presentation skills for executive audiences
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
