- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 3-5 year implementation cycles
- Secure $2M+ annual R&D budget through compelling innovation proposals
- Establish strategic partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and NASA research initiatives
- Mentor junior talent in future-focused development methodologies
- Publish quarterly white papers on technological paradigm shifts
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record shipping quantum-secure blockchain protocols or AI autonomy frameworks
- Expertise in federated learning, zero-knowledge proofs, and neuromorphic computing
- Portfolio of 3+ patented technologies in applied quantum or AI domains
- Experience securing DARPA or NSF grants for forward-looking research
- Deep understanding of ethical AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Published speaker at IEEE Quantum Week or Neural Information Processing Systems
