Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the 2026 strategic innovation framework aligned with long-term market projections
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling breakthrough technologies (AI, biotech, quantum)
- Analyze global megatrends (demographic shifts, climate adaptation, regulatory evolution) for strategic opportunities
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and startups to acquire emerging IP
- Present innovation roadmaps to board members and secure $50M+ annual R&D budget allocations
- Mentor senior leaders on future-proofing methodologies and scenario planning
- Oversee the creation of a dedicated 2026 Innovation Lab with $15M initial funding
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Strategic Innovation, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic planning with 5+ years in emerging technology foresight
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products/services with $100M+ revenue impact
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or foresight.org)
- Experience securing and managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Portfolio demonstrating successful 5-10 year strategic implementations
