Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional quantum computing research initiatives targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning challenges
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for post-quantum security infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubit stability
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global quantum technology conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning and variational algorithms
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated success securing federal research grants
- Strong background in cryptography and post-quantum security standards
