Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging trends (AI ethics, quantum computing adoption, climate tech disruption) through horizon scanning and scenario modeling
- Develop strategic frameworks for 2026+ market positioning, including competitive analysis and disruption forecasting
- Present foresight findings to executive stakeholders through compelling visualizations and narrative storytelling
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align organizational capabilities with future requirements
- Author annual 'Future State' whitepapers positioning Horizon Dynamics as thought leadership
- Monitor geopolitical/regulatory shifts impacting long-term technology adoption
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategy consulting, futurism, or technology forecasting with Fortune 500 exposure
- Expertise in trend analysis methodologies (e.g., Delphi method, STEEPLE analysis)
- Proven ability to translate complex concepts into executive-level recommendations
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Economics, Technology, or related field
- Published thought leadership in future technology or strategic foresight
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, backcasting)
- Experience with AI/ML trend detection platforms and data visualization tools
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ high-impact future strategy implementations
