Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year innovation roadmaps aligning with emerging tech trends post-2025
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AI agents, quantum applications, biotech interfaces)
- Analyze global tech ecosystems to identify disruptive opportunities and competitive threats
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate future-tech strategies into corporate vision
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships for emerging tech adoption
- Present foresight findings to investors, policymakers, and industry consortiums
- Foster a culture of experimentation through hackathons and innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record launching at least two breakthrough tech products post-2020
- Deep expertise in generative AI, quantum computing, or climate tech ecosystems
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario-planning capabilities
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, CHIPS Act, etc.)
- Fluency in emerging tech standards (ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF)
- Portfolio demonstrating human-centered design for complex tech systems
