- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry pioneers
- Present innovation blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Secure R&D funding through grant applications and venture partnerships
- Mentor junior futurists in speculative technology assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 5+ in emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven track record in launching AI/quantum/biotech initiatives
- Expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Deep understanding of ethical tech governance frameworks
- Strong network with DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation bodies
- Prior experience in securing $50M+ R&D funding
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
