Responsibilities
- Architect and lead advanced AI research initiatives targeting 2026 technological inflection points
- Manage cross-functional teams of ML engineers, quantum computing specialists, and domain experts
- Develop patent-pending algorithms for autonomous systems and predictive analytics
- Secure $5M+ in federal and private research grants for frontier projects
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers in top-tier AI/quantum journals annually
- Partner with product teams to commercialize breakthrough technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Computing, or related field with 8+ years of R&D leadership
- Published record in NeurIPS/ICML/Science with 50+ citations
- Expertise in transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and quantum machine learning
- Proven ability to secure federal grants (NSF/DARPA preferred)
- Experience scaling AI systems from prototype to production (100M+ user impact)
- Deep knowledge of ethical AI frameworks and bias mitigation techniques
