Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage all daily warehouse activities during weekend shifts, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching orders with 100% accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and motivate a diverse team of warehouse operatives, conducting daily briefings and performance reviews.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Health and Safety regulations, ensuring a secure working environment for all staff.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in weekend workflows and implement efficient solutions to maximize productivity.
- Handover Coordination: Maintain clear communication with the Monday-Friday management team to ensure seamless transition of operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse machinery and equipment are in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in warehouse operations or logistics management.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading a team, preferably in a shift-based environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional public holidays.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
- Driving: A valid UK driving license is not mandatory but is considered a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physical environment.
